The Final Destination

  • There is no use of a narrative voice so the audience has to rely on the content of the clips shown

  • The clips are broken up by a plain black screen shot with a non-diegetic beating sound this adds tension to the trailer

  • The clips tie in with the titles - when a tire flies towards one of the characters the titles appear with blood on them this signifies the fate of the character is death

  • There is blue light on the titles which is anchorage to the genre of horror

  • Fast editing is used in dramatic and significant parts of the trailer

  • The trailer ends on a cliff hanger leaving a narrative anigma - what will happen to the characters?
